Booking temporarily halted due to strong covid flare-up in our county. We hate to delay but these days, an abundance of caution is called for.
Is this an "escape room" game?
No -- you're not confined in any way in this game. In this game, the entire hotel and its grounds are your game space. You have a mystery to solve: what happened to Jeremiah Pickman, the ghost hunter who was investigating the hauntings at the Holiday Inn?
How does the pricing work?
You'll book the "game" portion of the event through EscapeWorks. (Just click on the reservations link). The price is $100 plus tax, for one team. A team may consist of 1, 2, 3, or 4 players -- however many you plan to have in your guest room.
After you have booked your team's "game" portion, we'll provide you with a discount code to sue when booking your room directly with the Holiday Inn. The price for the room is $70+tax, and you can request a queen or two double beds.
Is it a race?
The first day, you'll have a bunch of tasks and puzzles to solve that you can do at your own pace. You can stop for a meal at the on-site restaurant, or have a beer at the bar while you work on something that's got you stumped. Just be sure to complete the Day 1 tasks before 10am on Day 2.
At 10am on Day 2, all teams will convene in one place and will immediately know what to do next, if they completed Day 1 correctly. You can expect to be done with the entire game by 11:00 - 11:30.
This sounds like a tremendous company team-building activity.
You're absolutely correct -- interactive games like this are perfect team-building activities. They're great for group bonding, competition among groups, or just as an employee reward. Click here for more information.
None of us have ever done this before. Are we going to be totally lost?
Several of our test-players were first-timers and they had a blast. Our game comes with a self-directed hint system. Stuck? Need a hint? It's at your own fingertips!
What do we need to bring?
You'll need a smartphone at a minimum, though we recommend a tablet or laptop. Also, there is an outdoor component to solving this mystery, so be prepared to be warm outside for a short time.
Is this activity appropriate for kids? We are looking for interesting, fun things to do as a family!
There are ghosts in this story, but there are no "jump scares." Kids who accompany grown-ups will be entertained and enjoy it. Note that kids cannot play this game on their own. The hotel requires at least one person in each guest room be 21 or over.
